    Posted: December-19-2011 at 3:50pm
for the past couple summers i've been working on a massive rebuild of the sea wall and various retaining walls in my back yard...and many many home remodelling projects too. i've been amassing a giant pile of scrap metal that i've pulled out of the lake, dug up from behind retaining walls or pulled out of my house. i decided to make something out of all that this winter. this is the start of my pike skeleton sculpture. when finised it will be about 6-7' long...i'm thinking about mounting it on a pole down by the lake. anyway, thought some of you guys might appreciate it.

As far as I can tell, I'm not quite sure...

Nice man. Can't wait to see the completed project.

Out by the lake is where I would put it. Might have people asking you to build them one.

Cool!!

I would say put it in the lake on some hydraulics so you can make it jump out at people. That thing is scary as heck!

Cool. It at least needs a jaw that hinges though, so you can make the mouth snap shut when some unsuspecting punk sticks his hand in there

had a chance to get some more work done on the pike. the spine is made from a snow fence post that i dug up behind one of my lakeside retaining walls. the beginning of the tail fin is old sawzall blades from cutting up the old retaining walls.

it's pretty big now...about 8 1/2 feet long

close up of the spine segments

this is the jig i used to get the curvature of the spine that I wanted...of course it kept catching on fire...
As far as I can tell, I'm not quite sure...

This the jaw of a musky I found by our dock. I try not to think about the size of the teeth when I'm in the water.

A few years back, I made a bra out of rebar for my buddies wife's 40th birthday. And before you ask; no, she did not need the rebar. And yes, she looks great with or without the bra.

And no Jbear, I don't have photos.

I got a couple of daughters, 24 and 22 years old, might have to get you to make up a couple of "chastity" belts out of rebar. The girls are not always in shotgun range!
