I am getting ready to have my graphics on my 76 Tique re-painted. I know Correct Craft used a rustoleom paint from the factory. Has anyone used any other paint types so it doest fade as quick as from the factory?

Marty,
Some have used automotive paints but concidering the Rustoleum has held up for 30 years, I'd stick with it.

Are you having a mask made for the graphics?

How are you protecting the graphic while buffing, and what tool are you buffing with near the graphic, or is it by hand?

Before I have the boat buffed I plan to mask graphics with PG29 masking tape. I will be use a variable speed electric buffer to buff the entire boat. I have used this same method on several boats I have buffed and it seems to work well!

base coat / clear coat works very well for the graphics, the clear will have UV protectors in it for the sun
