Hey guys I am thinking of adding a fluid temp sensor in the tranny while I have it out and redoing my gauges and wiring. However, I have come to a crossroads of sorts to my plan.
Do I install the sensor in the line going to the exchanger, or the line coming from the exchanger? I can think advantages of both and would like to hear your thoughts and experiences if you have done something similar. |

Mine is forward and to the right of the return line on the transmission.

You talking about on top of the tranny directly beside the return? I do have a port there with an allen headed plug in it. It looks pretty rusty not sure it will come out easily, but I might try that.
Do have a complete temp sensor with gauge or just a high temp switch? |

Yes, The Alan plug next to the return line.
No guage. Sender to alarm buzzer. It's actually factory from '74. |

What temp does your alarm go off? Looking at sensors now and I have found 195, 230 and 235
