4:40 arrival for me. Hopefully Pete, John, and Gary haven't been thrown out already (or asleep in the corner booth).

It was great to see some CCfan friends even though I left pretty early. I think we had a pretty good turnout. John B (who I got to meet the first time), CQ, HW, Johnny, Alan, Dave, Gary S and myself.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Chicago Beers get together on Tuesday. I enjoyed the outing and finally got to meet Pete. The pleasure was all mine, I assure you.
I apologize for leaving abruptly. I got a call from my wife during the meeting informing me that our dog, Sandy, was acting very strangely and I needed to get home. I love the dog and it has been my wife's best friend through many trying times we have experienced. Thanks to everyone there, and I hope we can do it again soon. As a result of what we believe was a stroke, we have lost our best friend, Sandy.

I'm sorry to hear the sad news as well John. I too have been through the stroke problem with a dog. It's truly amazing how they become part of the family!

I was thinking the same thing today Moj. I'll let the masses pick the spot, doesn't matter to me.

Was in Chicago Dec 1st weekend. You guys are lucky to have such a great city so close. We had five couples for the weekend. The only pubs we got to were the Billy Goat (under the bridge), and Streeters. If anyone has ever been to Streeters, you know about the men's restroom (it has to do with a one-way mirror).
We did find plenty of watering holes, but they were more on the upscale side (again, we had the wives). We hit the Cheesecake Factory, Harry Careys on the pier, the Drake, Carmines, Bandaro's, Second City ($10.00 beers), a mexican restaurant (don't know the name) with great Margaritas, and of course the lobby bar at the Millennium knickerbocker, where we stayed. Great weekend in a great city.
Play hard, life's not a trial run.

Tull, sounds like you made the rounds here in Chi-Town !!! Glad you had a good time...

Guys, what about Shoeless Joe's on Higgins and Manhiem? 20 tap beers, special on domestics, burgers/wings/pork sliders...???

There's also the new Toby Kieth's place up on River road??
