$90 is steep for what they are. Most peeps here shop make one for a $20 trip top the hardware store. I use a T fitting made by Mercruiser for $3.80, a length of heater hose and brass garden hose repair fitting with a simple PVC plug. If I forget the plug, I fry an impeller. That is where the flush pro shines.
But to answer your question, they work really well and are on many boats as factory options.
One thought is that you may have issue regarding the 1" hose on a Nautique. I think these only come in 1.25" as that has become standard.Too lazy to check.

I have one that came on the boat when I bought it. I took it off as I am in fresh water. If you are interested let me know.

Really can't speak to how good these systems are.

Good point. I just checked and the hose connection is 1 1/4".

If I follow y'all correctly it could be either 1" or buck n quarter. Our one boat is 1", the other boat is larger. I must be doing the bucket method wrong bc it takes me one 3/8 but driver and :25 seconds to hook up.

I have one that is at least 15 years old, managed to defy the odds to this point, lol.

When mine does fail however, which apparently is only a matter of time, a TimmyTee would be used as a replacement.

Ditto - Used in multiple boats since 93...no issues/failures. Never paid anywhere near $100.00....

I purchased one six years ago and I like it. So far no issues. I installed it before I knew about the TimmyTee or the TimBob, JimBob or KimBob thing. Much easier than a Fake Lake.

I was looking at doing this for running the boat in the driveway, but I was concerned that water could flow out the water intake. I guess it is not an issue.?

I have only heard of 1 person having trouble with the TimTee. His RWP suction was not enough to overcome hose water from preferring to fall out the intake. It was a v-drive Python. I don't know the orientation of T or the hoses.

The beauty of the TimTee is that you can hook up the hose and turn it on and you won't pressurize the cooling system with the engine off. The problem with other systems is that people forget to turn the hose on after starting the engine. Here you can let it run all day and it won't hurt anything, water will just fall out the intake. Crank the engine and the RWP will suck up the hose water. HOWEVER, you should give consideration to where the T is installed so hose water will naturally gravitate downhill towards the RWP first, back fill the rest of the hoses, and lastly, fall out the bottom of the hull. Find the highest point of your intake hose and go downhill a bit towards the RWP if you can. Don't install it right off the hull pickup, it might work OK most of the time but you're just making it unnecessarily hard on the RWP.

Well we all knew TeeTimmy was not without many shortcomings.

To HW's point, if equipped, close the valve at the hull pickup just before opening Timmy's gate and firing motor, should ensure water will flow in the desired direction.

Anybody know what year the valve just after the hull raw water pickup became a Correct Craft standard feature??

Good points but I have put mine before the strainer and it does work.When connecting up you can see the flow thru the strainer and it filling. The quick connector speeds up the connection too.

Well Gary, if yours works I can't see why it wouldn't work anywhere on the suction side.

DO NOT CLOSE THE HULL SHUT OFF! The only time you should close that valve is to prevent sinking. Those who close that for winterization inevitably forget to open it in spring and fry an impeller at best, an engine at worst.

The whole point of the T is simplicity. Hook up the hose, turn the water on, then go about your business. Don't complicate the process.
