Looking for what I believe are called T-bolts to hold down my windshield. As you can see, mine are a bit tired.
Closest thing I could find are these at Mcmaster, but they are not an exact match. Anyone help me out? |

My wife said today she's tired of hearing the windshield rattle on a cold idle. She's right, wasn't there 2 months ago. I'm guessing these go inside the track so I'd have to pull the glass out? Is there a source for the rubber?

No, the T bolts and glass have separate slots in the extrusion. |

You kinda lost me here. Where it's rattling at is the center top where the two screws join the drivers side and passengers side together. I know those screws are tight. I just assume it's the t bolts bc they look pretty rough and are half gone. |

Thanks Pete....but I wonder if he'll sell me two. Hate to drop $30 for 2 screws.
EDIT: Ooops. Todd posted when I was composing. No longer relevant. |

man, the title of this post got me all exited and I was ready to chime in, but then it turned out its just another technical post....
anyway, on one side of the walk through is all loose screw and the screw does't bite anymore. shoul I drill a new one close by ( on either side) or try to fix the hole? |

Do the same at the center joint. Tight? I'll bet they made a short cut and didn't drill a clearance hole and just ran a type A sheet metal screw through both extrusion sections. |

Larry, There's an older thread where one of our members evidently bought the $30.00 and was giving away the extras. I ran across it doing a search. I'll see if I can find it again. It was a google search. |

Sebastian, I'd first see what size screw they used and try to use the existing hole and tapping to the next larger size. Sheet metal screws used with the vibration and corrosion eventually wear out. |

Larry, the eBay guy will accept an offer of ~$15, at least he used to. Be sure to replace all of the bolts and not just a select few, any original screw at this point is on borrowed time. SS is a nice upgrade.

I was gonna suggest I'd split the bolts with Larry if he found no alternative. No sense on buying 36 when 2 is needed.
