No Mr. Know-It-ALL; I called it the Landing because apparently that's what the Locals call the lounge area upstairs of the Blackwater Inn . Here is the quote from the BWI website.

To complete your visit, we invite you to relax in the casual atmosphere of "William Landing" atop Blackwater Inn. Fun, Food & Spirits will greet you as you enjoy the balmy breezes and panoramic view.

Ha ha i've only been going there since 89. What do I know.   Panoramic view must be when you hold up a pitcher at sundown...Too bad full moon isn't this weekend. I used have some good summer full moon skis out there. Their used to be a real character cowboy with a ranger that lived on a houseboat right there, I don't think he was ever sober.

Ross,
The link works! See, you can learn something every day of your life and still die stupid! Now your next challenge is to actually post a link that works without the need for a copy and paste.

73 100% original Mustang from NC was second best in my opinion. Amazing condition.

Thanks for a great weekend with old friends and the making of new ones! I look forward to this trip all year and already looking forward to next years "Ruckus".... The weather was perfect, the beer was cold, and the fellowship was second to none. Enjoy this 2019 boating season!

It sure looks like it was another great event. Yes Gary, one of these years I've got to make it down!

Art,
I see you got the engine back together in time. Fantastic! How did it run?

Well.....another River Ruckus has come and gone and I think it's safe to say that it was a Great Success because of those the great CCFans that came to enjoy all that it has to offer. Some Newbies joined us for the 10th Anniversary and were blown away by the fun and the 60 mile round trip River Cruise to the Sunnyland Antique Boat Show (who gave us a warm welcome and we had our own Nautiques Only Parking spot right center of the show on the beach)
Big Shout to the folks at Parramores who went above and beyond and gave us everything we needed including a discount on the bill if you were a CCFan. They are in Refurbish Mode and remodeling some cabins and replacing some with new ones. The ladies at the office heard all about the Correct Craft Guys and were excited to finally host us. We filled up what would have been an empty campground and look forward to our return next year. Fossett noticed that the CB panel in the office had a Nautique decal but no CCFan decal so I took care of that. I gave the ladies a Ruckus Shirt which two of them put on the second I handed it to them. Welcome to the Club Ladies!

Action Screen Printing did a great job on the shirts and will be available in the store if you want one EVEN though you didn't attend. Thanks Alan & Dana the good looking soft Ruckus T's.
Thanks everyone who brought food to enjoy for all and Mike Farmer for being the Grill Master. That Man can run a grill despite the heat.
The CCFans were friendly the beverages were cold, Sun was warm and the boats were hot even though it seemed liked a Blue Boat reunion as there was a surplus of Blue Boats and a couple of non CC variety, Nautiquehunter shows up with a red Supra so needless to say he caught a bit of grief about it. Heck even the Manatees swam in to join us to check out the cool looking CC's.
CC legends Art, The 61, and Lester Todd joined us for the fun and WSHOF and the former Queen of Slalom, tricks and jump world champion Cindy Todd came out to hang with us.

Thank you all for making the 1oth Anniversary St. Johns River Ruckus a fun and wonderful kickoff event to the boating/ski season with our fellow CCFans. You are what the SJRR is all about and from all the talk and excitement I've heard. We'll do it again next year. TimBobs photos to come as I had to go back to work to relax.

Thanks again everyone. Y'all Rock!

To all - it was great meeting some new CCF (to me anyway). The weather was perfect, the food was excellent, the boats were cool, and the people were genuine CC Fans and so nice to talk with and get to know. Thank you all for a great weekend. Frank (aka Reid’s boat b...h, as Heather called me, for this trip anyway).

Hey all, Back home last night and already back to the grind. It goes too fast. It was great to see everyone even though we were on a different agenda and didn't really get to socialize much.   Maybe next year we'll get back down and get to spend some real time at the campground. Anyway at 91 years old my dad finally got his Hurricane boat ride and that was the main goal of the trip, everything else was just a bonus.
Til next time!

I went to Advance Auto to get a coil then trailed back to the Mt Dora ramp . Had to do some adjustments and put in new coil.

Juli and I had a great time. You all are a very welcoming and fun group, and made our first Ruckus an event we will remember for years to come.

Our great old boats are only eclipsed in their cool factor by the great people that own them, help out others on this forum, and go to CC Fan reunions.

We look forward to seeing the people we met at the SJRR again soon, and meeting more of you all.

So it's been a week since this event came to an end and it already seems like forever and a day ago. I've spent all morning going through pictures uploaded them and the rookie drone video I took and I didn't wanna spend all day uploading the photos so TimBob is trying a new approach and taking a shot at a Video recap. Again, Thanks everybody for you help with everything and making this a fantastic River Ruckus. It's not just about the boats we drive and love but it's the people behind the wheel who own them.

Great video Tim and wow Silver Glenn was really clear that day. You can tell the summer crowds haven’t set in trashing the water up. You guys had great weather too. Of my top 3 favorite boats there only one was a Correct Craft, lol. I feel like a traitor.

I don’t wanna catch any flack here, and I probably will, but out of the regular crew that goes, are y’all tired of trailering the boats to the same old boat show that is the same thing every year? I know everybody is on their free will to do as they want. I see the same old boats in the same old location and frankly the same old snobby guys hob-knobbing around every time, I’ve lost interest in the show and it’s in my backyard. I’ve talked with several attendees of the SJRR off the radar and they all say the same thing, they don’t mind going to the show but they could also do without and really only go for the ride. I mean you are in the heart of awesomeness on the St. John’s, plenty of navigable river to run with so many springs and restaurants and sights. Spending the whole day on a short weekend to trailer a boat, time the locks etc, seems..... busy.

Todd, Iasked the very same question to most of the folks there about if we wanna do it next year and if so do we need to forego the River Run to the show and just run the St. Johns instead and ski all day. If weather conditions allowed, do we run up Lake George, Up River through Dunns Creek and down Crescent Lake to Three Bananas? Surprisingly everyone said that the 25 mile trip to the show was one their favorite things to do at the Ruckus. The "James Bond" Runs are fun and the scenery is unbeatable. Most folks don't care about the show too much but it's the journey to get there is what people want. Even if we did it on a different weekend other than the show then I think CCFans would still want to make that trip. For the first time Ruckus attendees the Dora Canal is a site to see and most people really enjoy that. There are no set rules in this event I just make a decision to do what the Gang wants. Only thing set in really set stone is the Saturday Night cookout and even that can be changed if people wanna do something else. I'll keep organizing this event as long as Fans wanna do it. If/when folks get burned out or tired of it then we won't but I personally enjoy this event. We haven't done too much skiing the past couple of years because we always get that Cold front the week of the ruckus but as I said above. It's really the only chance that many of us get to see and hang with other friends and the Fl locals. As with all the other CCfan gatherings I've been to, the time flys by and there is never enough of it.

As far as the snobiness you mentioned. You're gonna have some but after talking with several of the ACBS members that came to me to chat we CCFans have changed many of the attitudes towards "plastic" boats. We Correct Craft guys Rocked their world when we showed up in force in our multicolor ski boats wearing T-Shirts,Shorts and Flip-Flops. THEY accommodated US!!! They thanked me for showing up and being a part of the show and gave us our own part of the beach to park. People at the show were walking down to look at the variety of CC's on the water. Some are gonna be snobbish but most have come to the realization that they needed to change their position because members are dying and not being replaced. We're a rowdy bunch of misfits who shook up the SunnyLand Boat Show and were a breath of Fresh Rebel Rousing Air. They changed the ACBS rules to allow us in with our CC's. Several guys I talked to told me that. "Tim, you Correct Craft Guys with your loud boats, t-shirts, swimsuits and flip flops turned this organization upside down and woke up many of these old guys. They've totataly changed to rules all because of you guys."
Music to my ears and I chuckled when I heard it. Yeah, there are some stubborn old men in that group but aren't we all. A fun time was had by all and I've not heard one person say that they wouldn't be back and a few said they were staying locally, and bringing wives next year. Here's to raising more Ruckus on the St. Johns River for 2020 !
