did not know that you ran the show and that you could decide who is in and who is out . dont be such a hater and i dont remember askig you to be my friend. i bid you good day sir and please lighten up. Your above post said a lot as to your offensive behavior. I don't run the site, and don't deside anything but when to post and when to be silent, i chose the former. As far as your remark about your book and whom would read and whom would look at the pics was rather condescending also. You Rat are the one that needs to lighten up, if this banter upset you , don't get the Drill Sergeant on yo' ass. Treat others as you would have them treat you, remember the pecking order, you are the newbie not me.Attack and you will be attacked |

Personally I thought the rat's post was pretty funny, sum spel good, some don't, ain't no big thing. Heck if this site was a spelling test 79' would be sittin in the corner with the dunce cap on and all of us who have met him know what a great guy he is!!
Half a grate weakend!! |

Pretty entertaining thread. I had been ignoring it because seeing that I did not know what a bacerd movin motor was, I figured I had no interest in one.

Quinner, it's one thing to have a spelling disfunction. I can certainly understand that and I would completely agree that 79 is the king of mispelling (SP.)? He at least does put together complete sentences (or mostly complete anyway) that you can understand. Knows what the shift key does and how to use it and can even punctuate somewhat so you can "fill in the blanks" to what he's sayin'. What is that in Rats posts? Hyroglyphics? Ebonics? It makes absolutely no sense to me. Good thing that he has to use a keyboard for the forum. He probably writes S's, R's, E's and 4's backwards when he uses longhand.

So anyway whats this about a 351m two barrel marine reverse rotation engine that sounds farther out than any of the spelling on this forum so far. What makes you think its an M block and what two barrel is sitting up there.

wow ,, here we go again.
All I know is a year from we'll still be laughing about the word Bacerds. Lakerat, do yourself a favor and do a search, there's engine rebuild info all over the site. Part's, specs, clearances, procedures, do's and don'ts, cam options, head options, carb tuning info, lifter preload, push rod length issues. Everything you need is here so have at it. It's yours for free, just got to do your homework and find it. Once you get further into your motor project, specific questions would probably be easier to address. In the meantime you got a lot of reading to do so get at it. |

Rat, your profile says " marina dockhand" hope your knot tying and rigging skills are better than your engine identification skills.
A 351M and a 351W share no common parts and dont even look alike, valve covers, intake and heads are quite larger. The only thing that they share is the number of plug wires.... Allen and Joe he did better on the post about the wakeboard thing, good spelling and got his point across well; wakeboard smart Engine dept. , up for debate |

Backfoot, The fact that you mentioned ebonics had me laughing myself silly. I like to see some of the older guys on the site keeping up with the new age hip lingo.. Not making fun, I just think it's funny.
If someone here figures out how to shove a 351/400M in a CC let me know I have one I would like to put in a boat. |

Welcome to the site Lakerat......... where are you from ? You seem to have a great sense of humor, which we always enjoy on this site .... I just have never seen or heard anyone talk/communicate in that style....... well maybe Boat Dr. once in a while, but he doesn't write in code like quinner and you.

Lakerat, That looks like a real nice lake you are on, and Little Elm is right on the lake. Looks like a mix of old town and new homes. Close to Dallas too !! Bet you are loving the Cowboys right now. I have to admit that Romo is kicking some butt .

Hey lake,
Sounds like you are making inroads here, and learning about the atmosphere here. For the record, I was not blasting you on a personal level. I don't know you - it could not possibly be personal. I remember another newbie who took an initial approach on this site that raised some eyebrows and some hackles. He took a pretty severe beating, one that would have made a lesser man say "Screw this..." Guess what happened? That person is now considered an invaluable, highly respected member of our forum. He shares his time and knowledge freely without any expectation of reward. But he gets rewarded. We now trust him and go out of our way to send him our business. Who remembers those days? Who knows who I am referring to? Thanks, Mike |

He pissed me off so ..... bad that I had to get the last word in, by the way 69, thanks.
When i hit my favorites at work that conversation from the begining pops up and every once and a while i read through it and all i can say is im glad i stuck to my guns, Ive talked to guys from all different walks of life from this site and formed friendships that will probably last a lifetime, there are guys that i never met in person that went out of thier way for me and i would go out of my way for them and its funny how you can sit here for hours and laugh and without ever seeing them i could probably pick them out in a crowd from thier personalities. |

if you ask me I can't understand half the sh*t the f**kup writes so after the first one I stopped, considered the source and said what a f**king idiot. Must have lived in NYC at one time or another.
I do have a life and I'm not always going to be here to mis-spell words or stating the obvious by calling the kettle what it is a f**king jackass that makes know since. |
