Maybe I'm not getting the gist here, but what jet do you see out the back of that transom?? Other than the big obtrusive 1969 decal, I see an inboard set up.... Oh I get it, a "Busting" on the owner with the jet questions.... Never mind..

Looks like you're out of luck, it's up to $51 now.

The seller responding does not always indicate the listing is legit. Will be interesting to see how this one unfolds.

And I looked in the ref section and found CC were using Jacuzzis!!

Edit: I did send him another email yesterday using my wife's ebay account. I just checked and he hasn't answered my question yet. I (Diane) asked him if the jet drive made it go real fast.

Well, maybe that's a alternate to GT40's!! Are you going to do anything for this coming summer to make that thing of yours any faster? Or maybe I should ask if you are having any luck with getting the funds from the boss!!

Right now MY plan is to get things going this winter/spring and have the boat ready for skiing by early May. Time will tell......
I might have another setback as well. While winterizing, I noticed a bit of rust on one of the exhaust manifolds on close inspection, it looks like it could be the start of a crack.... I supose a set of those stainless Hi-Techs would solve the problem.

Still no answer! He still must be looking for the JET drive.

The bidding is now up to $1000

We should all get into a bidding war over it and run it up to like $10k and then the eventual winner can legally bow out on the basis that it's not a jet drive as stated. If he's a scammer, he'll be scammed. If he's just uninformed, then he will learn. He'll then probably go the second chance route, and then third, fourth, etc.. Any takers?

I just got a answer from Mr. jet drive regarding Tuesdays question to him if he knew what brand of jet drive it was. His answer once again was very brief and stated simply that he didn't know the brand. "Diane's" question to him regarding if the jet drive made it go fast, hasn't been answered yet.

Reid, are you serious?

I agree with skicat, if Reid wants to be the high bidder I am in. Has anyone asked for a better pic of the jet drive?

I was definitely serious, but I was hoping one of you ballsy guys wouldn't mind being the high bidder. I'd hate to tarnish my perfect 100% ebay rating. I'm more of a planning or instigating guy who likes to get the ball rolling, but if it's the seller's mistake..............? Let the bidding begin. Note: The means for showing bidders names in this auction looks new/unique to me but regardless my ebay user name is reid428, in case you see the first and last digit as I'm seeing.

EDIT: The initial dirty deed has been done. I'm the high bidder.

I'm in!

I emailed him again asking him to look for a name tag on the jet drive stating I would like to bid but would also like to know what manufacturer it is. Haven't heard back from him yet. And still no answer on "Diane's" question if the jet drive made it go fast! If anyone asks a question, make sure you save the sent and answered email.

This is chess not checkers. I (spydergnx) just threw down $2k.

Here is the link for anyone else who wants to play along

When I look at the bid list, my name is shown and not the letters and astericks like the rest. The $1500 was mine and now the latest is the $2750

Still waiting to hear back on her current top end, but I'm hoping with the jet trimmed right and maybe a performance intake grate, somewhere in the 50s. This will be my training boat for the speed footing contest with reidp at GL-08.
