This SUCKS !!!! The closer this weekend starts, the more depressed I get. I have the boat out, put back together, and cleaned up ready to go. Now I have to work saturday and sunday and can't get anyone to cover my shift this weekend. You guys have a good time and take lots of pics for the losers who can't make it out.......

My brother and i where up late last night doing some mods on the boat, we put a 715 holly on that we just rebuilt, a new 4-blade Oj,(thanks to Woody) but it ran like crap, it had a very bad miss, it would only tach up to 4500rpm, but today I put on my new Taylor wires, and now its running much better!

I DONT NEED NO STINKING SUPERCHARGER!!

Great time. Lots of stories and laughs. Gotta work tomorrow, get the boat, load up and be ready to leave out early Saturday. Can't wait...gonna be a cool time!

FRIDAY MORNING ST JOHNS UPDATE: The local weather looks nice right now but we may not head out as the Weather Channel hour-by-hour is calling for a 1% chance of rain and a high of only 76. Gotta love this FLA weather. I can almost hear the splash!

I'm getting our big game hunting gear loaded up (a 410, or rather a 409)and heading out to track down the elusive, sneaky, but deadly BoatDr.

Have fun! Be safe, we are very jealous. Post lots of pics.

Reid, be careful when stalking the Boat Dr. Being from the bayou he has his ways with those gators. Just when you think you've got him, you might be the lunch!

In charlotte, boarding in ten minutes for the last leg of the trip to orlando. Stuck behind a salt truck, and had to wait for deicing to get out of Syracuse... a little behind but no worries after another hour or two...

FRIDAY NIGHT ST JOHNS UPDATE:
Tomorrow's gonna be an even brighter day as Alan-81 Nautique, Joe from NY and I just solved half the world's(and Nascar's) problems over a handful of Captain and Cokes. The River and Lake were incredibly beautiful and calm late this afternoon as picts will soon reveal. Saturaday should be incredible. Epic thus far.

To all, thinking about you guys today. It's 30 degrees here in NE Indiana this morning. We have a light dusting of snow. It's really quite beautiful, but I'd rather be boating and looking at the palm trees.

Wishing ya'll the best of times! It looks like the weather is going to cooperate for you.

Looking forward to seeing the picture!

The cardinals were singing a few weeks ago and yesterday the blue jays were out and about, so I know it won't be long til boating season here.

Take Care and Be Safe.

Just got home at 10pm. Holy Crap....what a day!!! Boats all ran great. Water was a touch rough on the way to the Glen...but once there AWESOME! The cameras were out in force so there should be lots of good pictures tomorrow. Did not get to stay for the BBQ but I bet it was great. Great to meet so many of you guys that we had not seen yet in person and catch up with those that we already had met.

Might wanna put this weekend on your calender for next year right now. Twenty boats and who knows how many people.

Pumpkin Patch sounded awesome. we rode up the river right next to it and ...wow. Looked under the motor box and the motor and what can be seen of the stringer work is Beautiful with a capitol B. Now Greg needs to work some majic on the outside of the boat. What a pleasure to meet him and Amy in person.

The water? Way smoother than GL. And the Glen is a great place to gather. As you might expect...it created quite a stir when we idled up. But this is NOT to say this is better than GL. Each is great in its own way.

Make your plans now Pete.

I guess everyone is still recouperating from the excellent meal and commaraderie last night. And what a great time it was! And the food, man oh man the food. Between Amy's incredible toothpick chicken, Rick's falling-a-part pork butts, Billy boudin sausage, and other stuff I've forgotten, it was a treat. The pictures will certainly be flowing sooon as others arrive home and get back online. I'm at the track here in Daytona tailgating right now, with fingers crossed, hoping the race doesn't get rained out, scheduled to start in juat a few hours.

SPEAKING OF RACING: the Fastest Boat on the River 2009 contest was decided on the way back from The Glen, and while the water had calmed down nicely to a hull-raising ripple. With Alan GPS doing the recording, I was most surprised that the Orange Crush 409, with three boys sitting across the transom, registered an incredible 57.1 MPH. But guess what! That was only good for second place as the BoatDr's (or rather Karen's) boat bested the 409 by the smallest but definite margin to take top honors. Out of the hole it wasn't even close as Billy's 331 stoker pulls G's never before experienced by a mortal ski-boat, but I reminded him that it WAS a top speed contest. Coming in just a tenth or two slower was Marshall's 340 Mustang, with all three boats being within a 1/2 mph of each other. It was exciting. Coming in 4th but in the medals, was Adamt in his 302 Skier, as he was passing folks all day long. Thanks again to MaddMarxx for coming up with the idea and having the trophy plaques made.

GO CARL EDWARDS!
