I googled earth my house yesterday and damn, I got a close up of my truck in the garage, i think we went into Iraq over false pretences. the same group (Bin Laden's) tried to blow the towers in 93, they didnt wake up in 01 and say lets run some planes into a building, hate runs deep, we have similar groups in this country (McVeigh's group) he is a US citizen, do you consider him an American or part of our group? I dont, these people hate the idea of what this country stands for, they did take alot of innocent people in all of these incidents, but as you said eye for en eye, were lucky because one thing the media wont do is saturate us with all the collarteral damage we cause in foriegn lands, its 10 fold, its a part of life. but we keep poking at a beehive, a beehive that has been around for thousands of years and thier beliefs are different than mine and yours, basically if you are a good Christin it would be like someone knocking ion your door and telling you your not going to be a Christian anymore, we want you to be a Mormon..that aint gonna happen, and its going to piss you off

Not to side track the "Beer Fest" I would have liked to see the Dos Equis guy there instead of Joe Biden, but did any of you notice as the TV cameras showed Congressmen leaving for a month long recess not one of them had their heathcare reading material? These idiots will have one month to read and have it explained to them (yes there are some big words) and they will come back and vote still not knowing the contents of the bill.

This is his eigth month in office.Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Obama had NO business commenting on this local issue other than he knew Gates and pre judged the situation. He blew it big time!! We have a one term president. The next president will be an independent. How's your dog, your victory garden and I'll bet that the White House is not at the 80 degrees that it was in the winter. I voted for this guy but I had no option. America is a sorry place!

Im sorry, but you had better options than this guy, Americans deserve better than some guy repeating hope and change and a media that does not bother to find out what that means. Eight months in and he is still campaigning against George Bush, it is his show now and the reviews are starting to stink.

it was a the lesser of 2 evil's, I was watching Obama when the media sprung that question on him, always the media creating controversy, he shouldve said "pass" as a president he wouldve never brought that up. he opened his mouth and inserted foot
Im still campaining against Bush, anyone attached to him walked away with alot of cash. North Korea developed WMD, why didnt we knock on thier doors? if you can see my truck in my garage, you surely can see what is going on in thier back yards |

prof Gates now has a comedy routine. While at a book signing on Marthas Vineyard (Obamas summer playground) he does a schtick about looking taller in his mug shot, getting arrested at the WhiteHouse, getting Crowley (the cop) kids into Harvard if he never gets arrested again. He also explains how relieved Crowley was when gates shook his hand. This clown is way past his 15 min of fame. has not been home yet because of the threats, had to shut down his website because it was overloaded with + & - comments. This ordeal(which he started by being uncooperative and ranting) has gone to his swollen head.
As for your Presidential choice, well if Obama has to leave office prematurely, Biden will get hiccups and have to resign and then we get Nancy Pelosi...... careful what you wish for! |

As did Kennedy but Clinton flaunted it in the office with a chunky intern. Kennedy had more class, It was Marilyn Monroe and even she was snuck in through the WH bowling alley.

Stimulus my eye. Our company is tied in with road and infrastructure construction here in Michigan. We, and I mean construction companies we work with, have seen very little that can be attributed to the "stimulus program". |

Tull, I'm a little surprised by that. Road construction is about the only thing that has picked up around here. I have a 22 mile commute and 18 miles of it is road construction. Supposedly there's 48 Billion being doled out for infrastructure, I sure hope you get at least a little piece of it. |

You damn libs never stop complaining. Had GW not done anything and sat down to "talk" with Saddam and Osama, you would be calling him a *************** and screaming bloody murder (that is if you were still alive because we probably would have just got attacked again, maybe your city this time, or maybe Argentina). He acts strongly to protect the nation, with the approval of congress (not a super majority) I might add, and you crucify him for that.
I think W's biggest mistake was going too soft after his first term. Had the cowboy version of Bush finished what he started, this $hit might be over by now. Bush was not perfect by any means, but he got dealt a $hitty card 8 months after taking office and had to deal with more than any other president since FDR. Also, we had a pretty freakin good economy for 7 of his 8 years and a lot of this could have been avoided if more people would have listened to him. |

Actually...we got attacked twice, in march 1992 some terrorist faction bombed the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, 30 people died and over 250 injured.
Again, in july 1994 some terrorist car bombed the AMIA building (Israeli mutual asociation of Argentina), 85 people died and there were over 300 injured. |

is there a fine line between dictatorship and democracy? all that debt that was created during those great years, was legally stolen, if you had 100k in an IRA, they reached in and clipped it for 40k or more. the so called good economy was created on paper not liquid, if you had 10 credit cards you maxed them out, over mortgaged your house, payed for your house with borrowed money......
you need to know the difference between a good economy and perception, it was easy to go to the bank and borrow money with a signature. I always gauge the economy by the cash in my pocket.....and lately i have a little cash in my pocket, free and clear btw |

You might have a point there Eric...except that we live in a representative republic. There's also a big difference between democrat and democratic. When Congressmen spend half of their time running for the next election and we have people voting for a living, we may end up as a democracy. |

im still trying to decipher why we went into Iraq, or is that he and not we,
to me its pretty cut and dry, using the excuse of WMD, we sold them thier weapons cache, just pull up an inventory list, scroll down it was for me and not we. the media creates the hate persona to justify walking in and TRYING to control an uncontrollable situation, meanwhile in our backyard you rent a U-Haul fill up with fertilizer pull it up in front of a building and hit a switch, it baffles me that no one gives 2 thoughts about the hate that is inside the walls of this country, meanwhile everyone runs around screaming they blew up our buildings. well guess what, the same "types" work with me and you everyday. these are well organized hate groups. im not one to be lead by a 19 inch piece of glass with pretty faces, i see *************** for what it is, if you are pounded with enough information.....you start to believe it |

Thats how we got our current president, the media feed us hope and change without investigating what that might be. I think I know why we went into Iraq, It was a country with bad things going on, that looked on paper to be an easy victory, that would send a message to other countries that would be more difficlt to battle. We executed the invasion brilliantly but screwed the occupation. I think it was a good tactic that suffered from bad management. What do you do when you are attacked by a group, not a country and they fly planes into your buldings. There is no precedent for handling that situation. Do nothing and you are a weak taget, fight back and you are overeaching your authority. It is easy to sit back with hindsite and armchair quarter back. I think the guy followed his convictions and did his best.BY the way, Is he still running? The current administration is dissmanteling everything this country was built on. Our constitution lead us to a success never before achieved in such a short time, why do we want to mess with that success. The recipe is there to be followed, socialism has never achieved similar results. So what should we do? Duuuhhhhh. |

I could name 10 countries that have alot worse going on, Africa, Kosovo, Serbia, north Korea..Im sure Kristoff has been exposed to the going ons in these countries...
Bombing Ok city was no different, no one has that building tattooed on thier back, that was a hate group, why are we not on that band wagon? that is a group that lives inside our walls.. If sand was a commodity, we would have a presence in Africa...and they could put thier machete's away Embargo's instead of bombing? on the flipside, no food no oil...We have strong Alliances with oil producing countries, they are little blips with no protection, you step into Kuwait your going to have problems, and they did.......were not messing with success, we are protecting our investment, plain and simple |

Eric - I agree with you - We went to war in Iraq to assure oil access. Oil is the lfeblood of our nation & we haven't fought the last battle over it either.
I fully admit, I am part of the problem - have a V8 truck so I can haul my V8 boat to the water just for fun. Just being honest, no plan to change. |

we'll suck theier very last barrel and say see ya chumps lol |
