Wow very nice and welcome to Team RED! The interior looks really good and I like the fact the scoops have been covered with Red Vinyl. Looks like CC went covered and uncovered back in 72' interesting

Is the windshield from a early 80's tique? The 72' brochure shows a split windshield. Cool project

I'm guessing 82-84 mustang... I suspect the 82-84 Tique (same as 80-81SN) would be too wide for the 16' boat.

I forgot the mustang was made into the 80's. That would make more sense. Regardless that silver straight windshield looks great on those narrow hulls

You find big screws and immediately think of me ? I'm offended !!!
Hang on to those Pete, they're about like having gold. The 3" at fastenal are over 36.00 Each. Are those earmarked for the Flexi ? |

Al,
No, I bought square head lags as well as bolts and nuts for the complete launch project. They as well as other parts are getting galvanized which is fitting for the era. I found a vendor that only deals in square head fasteners. I'm waiting to sent them for the hot dip just to make sure I have the quantities and sizes correct. Yes, the Fastenal S/B are sure up there in $$ and they aren't even square heads! Actually, it's their pricing that has turned me off to the company. We tossed them out of the company I worked for after I found out their tactics. |

Dang Gary and Pete ! that's a big screw you have there.
So, while I was down at the shed taking pictures of mine, I was thinking I was very very glad that none of us were serving any 9th congressional district. So, Anthony Wiener, if you're watching, This is how you show-off your hardware. This is all I could come up with on short notice. |

Vince and my dad talked on the phone many times in total, probably around 15 hours. Many things that were wrong when we got our engine from them. |

That's too bad,it limits your boat collection. The afore mentioned Chevy lover has owned quite a menagerie of non GM powered boats

I have owned a few non Bowtie powered Correct Crafts... Thats the price I had to pay to stick with CC... Until now!! When my buddies saw Ford or Chrysler power in the boat, I would tell them the engines run backwards and the factory figured out they ran better that way than forward. |

Ok, most of the work is done to get the boat fired so I can break in the motor. I had to rebuild the wiring harness. now the problem is that the starter isn't engaging the fly wheel. so it has to be the wrong starter or the fly wheel. right? I had the starter bench tested and every thing looked good.. I can hear the clunk of the Bendix poping out. I'm just not to sure at this point of what to do next.
