April 29th - May 1st are the dates so thats 4/29 - 5/1 Marty any of those clinics would be great. Burgers and dogs? The question should be Millers or Buds! |

Chris-- We surely wouldn't have you bringing anything except that famous 'Iowa' corn . No you wouldn't have to bring anything, especially if you're flying. You really would get the 'Pat Down' at the airport
And Keegan- a few suds and buds is allright, but has to kept on the low-down. This is a Christian Place of nature. |

Marty,
I plan to call you within the next several days to see how I can help you with this so keep me in mind if there's something I can do. At this point, my family and I are planning to head toward WL on Friday the 29th as soon as the kids get credit for being at school (I think that's noon). This puts us arriving at WL b/w 3 and 4. I'd be happy to help out in any way possible. As far as the clinics go, I'd be interested in hearing any and all information about CC maintenance, but would be most interested in hearing about shaft alignment and carb rebuild/maintenance. |

Don't worry I clean up perty good. With the family around I am fairly tame ! After thinking about it a Holley carb clinic would be great. |

RDU Raleigh is closest. I could pick you up from the airport Friday afternoon ideally within a window of 1pm to 4pm. Or if Greensboro GSO is cheaper that is just as easy but move the ideal window to anytime am till 2 or 3pm.

I am pretty open on Sunday. Would like to pull a few runs on Sunday if the weather is nice, so anytime in the afternoon is good. Later out of Greensboro.I think it is about 2 hours from Raleigh to WL and 3 hours to GSO.

I believe that Wilmington, NC is 45 minutes from White Lake. There is a Air Port at Wilmington. However, there may not be anyone going that way since Wilmington is on the coast. I hope you can make it. Donald |

OK Guys--
White Lake Marine (WLM) will provide us a good 'ole NC BBQ Saturday at NOONish. We're on our own for supper that nite. So,Burgers & Dogs or POTLUCK!?? Here's what Townsend e-mailed me :: Hey bro! Wanted to touch base with you on Mini 2011. We will cater lunch on Saturday with some good ole fashioned NC BBQ! Other meals will have to be on y'all. I can get a cooker for you again, however, I cannot get gas for it as it belongs to my fire department and they don't loan out the gas cylinders. If one of your guys can bring an lp tank that will work. Let me know your thoughts and ideas. Hope all is going well. -- Townsend Link White Lake Marine (910)862-3688 www.whitelake.com www.nautiqueparts.com So, Do we want to use that Gas Grill or Let JOE F go through the campground and find us a grill?! |

I vote we use the grill. Burgers and dogs with some classic fixings sounds good to me. I can make a costco run for the group if we go that route. Somebody else will have to bring an lp tank. I am a charcoal guy.

Ok-- Joe you're FIRED! Keegan's the 'new' Chef!! I'll advance Keegan $100 for the meat,buns,chips,condoms , I mean ketchup,etc.,
Steve Watkins-- can you bring 2 tanks? Don't know what kind of set-up is on that grill. Cooking Utensils, sanitary napkins , whoops again, paper towels. I guess everyone will have their 'DRINKS' allready!?? Anything else? Will probably put a 'donation hat' out if ya want to chip in at the cook-out. Don't want to charge a 'Registration Fee' yet, until I,We can procure some T-Shirts or something in return for this Event yet. So far I'm counting about 40 people and 15 boats-- including some of the 'late' signees that I think will be there. |

Marty,
Yes, I'll bring two tanks. I'll also bring the paper towels, napkins and some foil trays and tin foil, so to recap, I'm bringing: 2 propane tanks wrench grill lighter cooking utensils (spatula, tongs etc.) paper towels Napkins foil trays tinfoil Does anyone remember if they had refrigerators in those rooms? Also, Marty et al, what do ya'll think of establishing a Saturday dinner time of about 7:00 or 7:30PM. I realize this may be a little later than some usually eat dinner, but with all that will be going on that day, a later dinner time will give us more time to play on the lake. My crew will require a late snack to make that work, but can make do with the later dinner time if everyone else can. We'll be in daylight savings time by then and if the weather's nice, I'm hopeful that we'll all be having a good time out on the water and won't want to cut it short to come back and cook/eat. Thoughts? |

Steve I am with you on the later dinner time. My kids will be fine too with an afternoon snack.
I will do an estimate for food quantities depending on how many sign up and will pick it up on the way Friday. So far we have talked about burgers and dogs. Maybe some salads as sides- fruit, pasta, potato, greens to eliminate having to cook anything else. I am open to suggestions. |

Keegan, any decent grocery store will probably have some deli made pasta, potato or fruit salad. That'd be the best low hassle way to take care of that. I believe there are refrigerators in the rooms and if so, picking it up on Friday and keeping it in the fridge overnight would be the way to go. WL isn't really convenient to alot of shopping so grabbing that stuff on the way in will be alot more convenient. |
