He also voted with Bush 50% of the time while in the Senate.

-His stimulus bill was half the size that his advisers thought necessary.
-He continued Bush’s war and national security policies without change and even retained Bush’s defense secretary.
-He put forward a health plan almost identical to those that had been supported by Republicans such as Mitt Romney in the recent past, pointedly rejecting the single-payer option favored by liberals.
-He caved to conservative demands that the Bush tax cuts be extended.
-And in the past few weeks he has supported deficit reductions that go far beyond those offered by Republicans.
-On civil liberties, he not only continued the Patriot Act and indefinite detention of terrorism suspects but also claimed the right to assassinate American citizens without charge.
-On financial issues, he fought off every serious proposal to re-regulate banks following the economic meltdown, he preserved ongoing bank bailouts and he resisted pressure to prosecute Wall Street thieves.

Those are just a few things.

You conservatives have moved so far to the right I really don't think you would even elect Ronald Reagen these days. Ronnie raised taxes, increased the size of government, and could have gone to prison or gotten impeached over Iran Contra.

plus he (ronnie) had Alzeimers throughout his presidency, he should of stepped down, Lee I hope i didnt offend you, you have control of who you are, if you judge a man by first impressions without getting to know him.....you know maybe i am a bit racist, just yesterday i had a guy with a europeon accent, possibly Russian or Ukraine,
my first thought was to send him on his way because i was profiling him because i have had dealings with these type of guy's in the past. I gave him the benefit of my doubt,
"you diagnose i pay you" what really caught my attention when he was walking thru my shop was that he had his 6 year old daughter with him and i think she stepped on his foot...he litterally screamed at her and made her cry. maybe this is where my racist tendencies showed its face cause once again i was profiling.
OK by the end of the day, I cleaned his fuel pump, fixed the advance arm, ran the boat and charged him 80 bucks...2 hours of my time shouldve been 160.00 bucks. long story short he didnt want to crack off the 80 bucks and my blood pressure started to rise because he was argueing. he merely wanted me to diagnose and tell him what the problem was....I was very close to turning my cameras off and jacking him, which i have done in the past and throw him into the parking lot.
Moral of the story, I recognized he was a foriegner and gave him the benefit of him becoming a friend and customer for life, but he chose to show his true colors and i called him a dumb fcn DP as he was hooking up his boat

Well.....its happened! Standard & Poors has now downgraded the USA's pristine credit rating from AAA to AA+.

They (government) got this great deal done last week, and what happens? The stock market tanked big time, and we still got downgraded. The smart money knows the deal was a SHAM!!! Shame on the Republicans for going along with it.

The smart money also knows what the problem is.....TOO MUCH DEBT!!! Pure and simple. The solution is not to tax people more. You could take every asset the rich have, and it won't solve the problem. The only thing that will work here is to get these LIBERAL idiots (of both parties) out of office and get fiscal conservatives in. We need more Paul Ryan's and Jim Demint's in there.

This country spends money on useless stuff and we are creating a nation of helpless, needy welfare recipients that has come to rely on the government for their existance. This is exactly what Obama wants. In fact, the number of people on food stamps in this country is at an all time high. Relying on the government for thier little bit of cheese!!

They keep each other in power just like the LIBERAL unions in Wisconsin and the Dems in Wisconsin have done for years. Keep each other in power and to hell with everybody else. Tax the hell out of 'em as long as they get what they want.

Scott Walker has started to turn Wisconsin around from being a bloated, "tax and spend" union-based government beauracracy and in to a lean/mean job creating healthy state that companies now want to move to. We need somebody like him in the White House!! But, we also need a conservative Congress and Senate as well to back him up.

As Margaret Thatcher, the past Conservative Prime Minister of England, once said....."The problem with Socialism/Liberalism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money to spend".

You darn right we moved more right than ever Phosper. When you get as REALLY far left as Peloski, Reid and Obama running our country and all they do is totally opposite of what I believe for in this country, I get more mad and hate them even worse. First off, people need to understand us righties is we do not and will not tolorate large spending. Except war, we beleive in fighting for our freedom. But when you have a large spending that they have accumulated over there 2.5 yrs, and they far left just want to keep printing money like it is just fking paper. It is paper, but you gotta pay for it. And after last night and how much Obama is cashed all these checks, we are now a credit rating AA+.

And second off, we just hate the goverment. It is something we our just born with. Obama or lefties that believe the goverment should run this country and not the peps of America and free market get under my skin too. This economic systm was not designed to the goverment to interfer with jobs, taxs, wall street etc, but this country is desgined for the "American Dream", and the lefties always want to do things opposite so thats why I really dislike, and hate far left poloticians.

Give you an example, last night watching my loved Fox Nexs Obama because the dmbss is out of ideas to stimulate the economy, he thinks another stimulus bill is gonna work when he tried the same thing when he started his presidency, if you call him one. And in this bill off course, they want to give more money to the unemployment people so they will have money and stimulate the economy. It does not work that well.
This one you can figure out, where is the money gonna come from, and it creates people not to wanna work. Fking backwards, this is why us righties just laugh and giggle because the lefties could not stimulate nothing cause they do not no crap about economics. If Obama ran this country like it suppose too, and the way it was setup things would be better but he is a far left communist.

Hell he bankrupted Illinois, shouldn't they given you a clue he a big spender. I knew when he was a communist is when the stood up on while he was running for president. And when he said, "We our gonna spread the wealth so others can have a pieace of the pie"!!!!

I said, o sht, he is a communist. A redistrubut wealth mo fo.

When will people realize that this country is run for the top 1% by the top 1%? Liberal and conservatives cater to big business and wall street. Goldman Sachs runs this country.

Here's a fact you may like. Did you know under President Obama, the U.S. has deported a record number of illegal immigrants?

Phil, I heard a quote from a russian leader that the US could not be defeated from the outside but we can easily destroy ourselves from within. The assualt of freedom we on the right are fighting has been taking place since the new deal. This country has not moved right. In fact the average republican today has social and economic views similar to the average democrat in the 60's. Do you realise that you are in fact an extremist as compared to the average american? (Admiiting it is the first step towards help) This will skew your impressions because of your point of view. I will freely admit that I am conservative and on the right side of the spectrum. So does FOX. Try to get CNN or CBS to admit they lean left though and it will not happen. This country is now at the point where it has spent itself broke, it tells private business that its customers cannot use legal products(smoking bans) it is about to dictate to cherios that there cereal is not healthy enough to be sold. Our President tells us on tv that we need to redistribute wealth for social justice. You complain about the tea party but you created them. The mother of the tea party is the freedoms supported by the visions of our founding fathers in our constitution, but the left is the illegitimate father. They planted the seed that grew the tea party by pushing average americans to far. The average american is much closer to me that to you. They will compromise to get along untill you push them to far. Currently they have been pushed way to far. Your policies lack any economic understanding. We were sold that if we did not raise our debt cieling we would have our ratings downgraded. so we raised it only to be told that the debt cieling was not the problem, it is our spending, just like the conservatives have been saying for 40 years. Those immegrants being deported. You do realise that the very first act they did when entering our country was to break our laws. Try this in revearse and you will spend at least ten years in a Mexican jail. We politely point them back home only after they commit a second crime.

That is your opinion and they are like A- holes. Everybody has got one. Same as your CNN, MSNBC, & CBS is all liberal media. Fox tells it like it is. And wonder why it is the #### 1 News channel for polotics, business, and covering stories. Stick with your liberal media, I will stick with a news station that has a sack of nuts.

BTW, liberals hate to hear the truth.

If what you say is true then Obama should be more dissapointing to the Democrats than he is to the Republicans. He sold folks a bill of goods to get their vote and it appears that he hasn't delivered.

Your view of what happened with the debt is amazing.

- It was the Dems that offered all the compromise
- The Repub held off until the last moment
- Most of America does not support your view, (unless of course you are getting figures from Fox)
- Congressional approval rating is at low point in history
- it was the Rep who held out until the last few hours that likely caused the downgrade, as the agencies see it as instability
- You think Demss have responsibility for this mess because we had control?
Really?, How many Americans do you think would agree with you on that? I for one knew it before Obama was even elected.

For the record OVERMYHEAD, I never called you a racist. It was whoever had the nice little names for Obama.
I have kept it fairly civil with you, and intend to/

It will be interesting to see how your argument fairs in the next two weeks, after the recalls.....he he he he he

Then from November to January, it will be fun to watch. recall for the Walker looks promising.

By the way, Walkers slogan "open for bidness" well, that hasn't worked out to well for him. Net job gain to date.... -20,ooo

He has a tough road to follow.

I also love the Paul Ryan references, do you remember where that plan went? The trash can, especially after most Repubs jumped ship...

And what facts do you have to prove Mr. Walkers slogan will not work?? What un credible source did you get your -20,000... Walker has benefitted the workforce there and fighted them labor unions Obama has tried to push but will not work. Unions dont work, they bankrupt states, countrys etc. All states need to follow the "right to work" polociey rather than "you owe me" which unions follow. Well done for Mr. Walker.

The thing you need to know and reason why my great and wonderful friends jumped ship on the plan, great for the house, but wont pass in the Senate when you dealing with numsculs in the Senate such as Reid. "CUTS" are not in there vocab bro..

I will laugh at folks in November of 2012. All you ***************g lefties are toast. Obama approval rating is at 30%% and it will be a total mismatch in November. It will not matter, who, color or what is runnning against Obama. But like me, it takes me 5 seconds to vote. Spin the wheel, hit all republican and ssssssseeeee yyyyyaaaaaaa

I sit here and wonder what the downfalls would have been if we went into default, what would the loaded for a revolution guys have done if they didnt recieve their monthly checks that they are entitled to, the ones that say "you owe me"
im sure they were talks with advisors that thought the entire process through, if this were to happpen, this is what's going to happen.

it would be nice to see some of your thoughts on what may have happened if billy bobby didnt get his monthly dis abilty check.

A sharp and well connected friend of mine told me he voted Dem in '08. His reasoning was simple-he wanted to do his part to see things get so screwed up that real change would have to follow.

Others I know voted 'cool' or for 'white guilt ointment'. They were the folks out scraping bumper stickers at midnight. And speaking of bumper stickers, why are so many afraid to put the other guy's sticker on their car?

Another question; how many of the Fans here point to Charlie Sheen or Madoff when presenting role models to their children? Is our gov't behaving any better?

We already know about the 1% transaction tax the dems want to sneak in after they win in '12; maybe that's the straw?

find me a party that has some balls and will take over the oil fields instead of self serving themselves and their rich friends, the pubs have always been for the rich and dont give 2 shts about me and you, the dems are no better....both parties should be ashamed of themselves....were pawns on a board, they keep stealing our money and we keep trying to reason here on whats better. there is no right answer, they worry about their families and income and thats it... its past a point of no return and if we dont default now we evetually will, with the government its the last thing that they want to happen...you see whats going on in small countries like greece...people are getting pissed and once you start taking away people will go to the streets. i really thing its a ticking timebomb....they aint building underground shelters for me and you

Agreed Eric...mostly. TJ said it would only last 200 years when he wrote it.

To your statement about the pubs always being for the rich:

That's the blanket statement or the word on the street, common knowlege even. "Everybody knows that." So where did that common knowlege come from?

What if I said that the pubs stand for the type of behavior and decision making that tends to lead to accumulated wealth? Isn't that 2 ways of saying the same thing?

OnOneWheel....I think you have been riding your government issued unicycle in the sun too long. I don't know where you got your information about -20,000 jobs. WHAT!?!?!?! WRONG!!!

Wisconsin has created 39,000 new jobs since Walker was elected, and, get this..... added 9,500 NEW jobs in June, or 50% OF THE NEW JOBS CREATED IN THE ENTIRE USA IN JUNE!!! Not a bad record.

Oh, by the way, S&P issued a statement that if the Congress/Senate/WH had adpoted Paul Ryan's plan, they would not have issued the downgrade.

Okay, carry on with your re-call election planning. I wouldn't get your hopes too high though. The LIBS in Wisconsin have lost every attempt to undo what Walker has done. Come on, face it....the country is turning against the tactics that your side has used for so long to wreck Wisconson and the country. I can't wait until the 2012 elections when we can send Obama packing. I sure hope he doesn't come back to Illinois.

We have enough trouble as it is due to our own Uber-liberal government, high taxes, and billions of dollars of debt. Not sure you have heard, but, companies like CAT, Sears and others are contemplating leaving Illinois due to policies like the ones you seem to want to return in Wisconsin.

I was at a family reunion this weekend and overheard my ultraliberal brother in law givivng a life lesson to his 10 year old daughter. She was asking if she could ask the host for some trinkets to take home. The brother in law said "no" she said "but they have alot". He said "just because someone has a lot of something it does not mean you should ask them for it." I had him repeat the lesson to me. He did, I smiled. He realized he had been had, and tried to recover with something about paying for what you use, but he knew it was a lost cause.
I am amazed at the disconnect between what is right personally and what is right for the government.

Same reunion I was talking to the third generation bank owner from a small Iowa town. He says Obamas increased regulations have cost the bank at least 150,000 this year in operating costs to comply and nearly paralized the bank because they are changing so fast they are having trouble trying to stay in compliance. I asked what that meant for the customers. Answer - longer processing times, fewer bank employees that can cross service product lines, and increase costs to the consumer.

He is right Eric, they love the rich so much they want to make sure it is possible for all of us to become rich. How rude of them.

So one wheel, what do you consider an unbiased source of information? I find it is to easy to fact check so most reports stay on the level. (Ask Dan Rather). Where bias comes in is what the media source chooses to cover. So you can blast FOX news for telling one side of the story, but it is a true side, It is the side that the main stream media is not givign anyone. Fair and balanced may be a little questionable but a fairly balancing is correct. FOX is growing in rapidly in audience becuse viewers realise that they are not getting the full accurate story from the mainstream. The mainstream ignored many glaring concerns about Obama, he was never vetted by the media. They were relentlass on McCain and mercilees Sara Palin. Specifically they sited the republican VP candidates lack of experience, even though she had run a buisness and a state. They are still after her and she so far is not running for anything. The same outlet lauded Obama who had been an admitted drug using college student, a community activist and a senator for only two years centered in the home of the "Chicago way". He had never run anything. He also had long term relationships with some very questionable people. He launched his campaign from William Aires living room for gosh sakes. None of which was investigate by the main stream. They just went through all of Palins Emails (found nothing) but they wont even ask Obama a tough question. I pointed out that you were getting your arguing points from a liberal blog, not even a legitimate news outlet. That is your choice, but then dont complain about others listening to biased sources.

Whatever...
I cited a story reported by Thinkprogress, WHICH WAS PERFORMED BY REUTERS.

Is Rueters too biased for you? Before you answer, look into how many times the Wall Street Journal uses their pieces.

And with what has come to light about Murdoch's media putlets are you about to tell me FOX news is reliable unbiased news?

By the way Sarah Palin exists because of FOX news.

Could it be the "main stream media" was relentless and merciless on McCain and Palin because it was rather newsworthy? I mean that they were that far off from where Americans were at the time.
