Ryan, check with Lowes on the speaker wire. If you don't have a lowes near you let me know, I have a lowes about a half mile from me.

That amp looks fine. I had to get really close to the screen to see them but it has speaker level inputs the are the two white rectangular plugs on the upper right hand corners. they must come with some type of wire harness.

randy- was playing around today(sunday) with the stereo and noticed something good and bad...good part everything is still working and i moved the sub all the way uo facing towards the back.. turned the gain up a few hairs and holy sh*t does it pound..everything up front shakes and everything that doesnt shake vibrates...if i turn it up past 24-25 on my cd player it starts to skip....sounds freaking awesome, pretty amazing for one 12" sub and 4 speakers in a boat...ok so bad news is this....you know how the perko has a 1-2-all-off switch...well battery #2 was supposed to be for the stereo only, one for starting...well if i turn the knob to 32 it plays, and it also plays on #2 and all...the whole idea is to have the battery for instance #1 as the "boat starting battery"...shouldnt play while turned to one..correct or im i confused, which could very will be...i just want to make sure one battery is not getting any amp/volts used...should it still play while turned to all?.(it does)and should it still play while turned to #1(it does)

Ryan,

I have a perko in mine. I don't know whether it is or isn't hooked up properly. However, I will say that the stereo will play whether set on 1,2, or all. I was told that if I was going to sit for along period of time with the stereo playing, to set it on 2. I was told that current would not be drawn from Battery 1. This way, even if I ran battery 2 down, I would be able to start the boat from battery 1. BKH

I quoted the Dr. because he explained it perfectly earlier. The switch controls which battery is powering the starter and the rest of the boat. while running, If you have it set to #1 you will be charging the #1 battery. If set to #2 you will be charging the #2 battery. if set to ALL it will be charging BOTH battery's. The stereo equipment is wired to the blue battery with the screw down terminals (I think that is #2...) You should use it just how the dr. described it.

I confirmed how to connect it to the Aux. breaker by looking at mine today. Just how i thought... if you want to run it through the aux switch let me know.

Everything is good, it is working like it should. Give me a call if you want me to explain it to you. I'll be out in the garage messing on the boat for a couple hours yet.

Are you saying it is thin? That doesn't make sense... it's not thin, a little stiff though.

The equipment is all connected directly to batt.#2. It doesn't matter which way you switch the switch the stuff is still connected directly to the battery. The switch serves to isolate the starting battery so that even if you drain batt.#2 completely you can still start the boat with batt.#1. You will probably want to keep it set to ALL most of the time so both battery's are being charged by the alternator. If you are out at the sand bar drinking beer and pounding the ba$$ you would probably want to switch it to battery #2 to keep battery #1 from draining. Then before starting the boat switch to battery #1 and once started switch to ALL so you are charging both battery's.

I tried to take the Audiobahn apart to solder leads to the board for power, remote and ground. Apparently everything is glued before it is screwed together because it is not coming apart... I guess I will call Audiobahn tomorrow and order the wiring harness.

Do you have an Audiobahn 10 inch tube ? I have two of those .One in wifes Jeep & one in my truck. Both harnesses broke .The harnesses to these suck.I unscrewed the back , pryed out the amp, soldered ground to black wire ,power to red wire(duh) & tested on a battery in the house .Then touched the remote wire to solder parts on the board until the on light came on.Then soldered the remote wire in. Ran wired through old harness holes. My box in my boat is Herculined. Making it waterproof & ba$$ hard . $ 29.00 for a small can & roll on .Works good . I just did my trailer in Herculiner. $89.00 for the big can kit . I gotta put up some pics soon, this stuff is incredible .Dan

Soldered wires to the board of the Audiobahn powered sub. This thing hits a lot better than my 8" bazooka. takes up a lot more space under the observers seat. I want to build a sub into the kick panel under the helm eventually. This will work for now.

Thanks Ryan!
