Hope this helps someone.... now valve covers can be painted and have new decals
info from PCM The part # for the decals for the valve cover is R143034, for the spec decal is R143013 and for the manifold is R143078Y. All are still available and can be ordered through a PCM dealer. |

Semi-related story:
The PO of my Martinique is a very particular, meticulous kind of guy; a former marine. He keeps everything. Every scrap of paper, anything that could possibly be of importance. He was cleaning the engine years ago, and the foil part of the valve cover decal separated from the adhesive back. He ended up carefully taping the foil to a piece of cardstock and storing it with the rest of the paperwork, which I still have. I also have a price sheet from a CC dealer in Birmingham, AL, where mine was originally purchased in 1976. A Martinique with a 351W was a little over $15K back then. I also have the original MSO, and some other original paperwork artifacts that might be interesting to scan and post in the reference section. |
