I didn't want to hijack the engine painting thread so here goes-- the year was '76
This is my friends AAR Cuda can't remember what year the car was 70 or 71.We were at a small local dragstrip, and thats me in front. My VW and I came home that day with a trophy,he came home with nothing.Wish I bought that car now. |

Gary, awesome man!
I especially like the '68 Baja bug and the '55. Any plans of restoring that little beauty in the future? Over here the Beetle is still a very popular car with quite a few clubs. Every year there is a big VW reunion on the market place in the town next to ours... Definitly some real beauties to see there. |

Kristof, unfortunately it's long gone. Now days your better to buy one that someone else spent all the money to restore.I don't follow the VW scene anymore but I know Europe is a hot bed of activity for VW's.That one was an European model,it had the semifores in the door posts, which the US ones did not.
Here is the last car I ever did,it kind of cured me |
