I'm ashamed of our "president"
There are far more important things to worry about. |

Not a very good example. Have a couple of beers, it'll be OK! LOL
If he would have kept his mouth shut, it would have never got to this point. They didn't even drink GOOD beers, and the sad thing is we paid for it ALL. We'll be paying for this guy for many generations. My .02 |

Well had it been me I would have said no beer please, Jager Bombs for me! An I wouldn't have worn a suit, would have been shorts, Colts T-shirt and Flip Flops. Plus I would have asked that we all have hammocks!
No really I would have said "Sir I will just have a coke", been wearing my Dress Whites with Medals and sat at attention the whole time....Oh the life of a lowly Sailor! |

Could someone enlighten me about this one...? We don't get all the news from your country over here...
And as a Belgian, when beer is involved...
Now that I can relate to... Have done a few of those ceremonies too... |

OK the white guy holding the beer is a cop who responded to a call at a residence. When he arrived the older colored guy to the right was at the house(it was his house). The cop arrested him and got labled a biggot. Turns out the Colored guy is a World Renowned Harvard Professor. So to ease the tension the President and Vice President had them both over to the White house for some beers to talk it out. That is the simple version. If you want to read more go to CNN.com and it's all over there. |

OK, so I did some reading...
If you ask me, there are indeed more important things to worry about. But... there have always been and there will always be more important things... To me, nothing wrong with discussing a problem over a beer, may it be between two regular Joes at the local bar or the president. Even the president is allowed to get away from the global and national problems and sit back for a few moments behind a brew. He even combined this moment with two people who had some serious media attention. Quite a few problems have been solved faster over a beer than on an official debate... I am pretty confident that Obama went back to the bigger problems a few hours later... I would say cut the guy some slack and stop expecting miracles from him. |

It's Obama's relentless persuit of looking like the common man, and getting more casual face time.
I must have missed when he sat down with the Big 3 over a couple of Johnny Walker's to discuss the problems with the American auto industry. Obama- Coors Light Biden- Bud Police officer- Blue moon w/ orange slice Harvard Prof- Killians ? |

Being from the south side of Chi Town, surprised he didn't ask for Mad Dog 20/20 in a paper bag, Colt 45 being a fine 2nd option, warm of course.

I think this, in a very figurative manner, shows that there are other simplier ways of discussing stuff and getting people to understand each other, avoiding the media debated and speech scalades.
They all cooled down, wich is what should have been done in the first place. Now I know an ex president of yours who would have bombed the police head quarters and invaded the entire state looking for a dangerous man. sorry I couldnt help it. |

I think what is being missed here is Obama threw out the "Race" card before he even knew what really happened, "White cop brutalizes Black man", is often the accusation regardless of the circumstances.
Don't even get me started on his "Print Mo Money" Style of Leadership, TOIDI ! |

Me too. Just goes to show you how corrupt politics can be.The only reason B.O. got involved was because this professor was a friend. That personal stuff needs to be seperated from an important/powerful position . the White House observed a moment of silence for MJ ? Gimmee a break. I want to know what Barrack has to say about this: California teenager Oh that's right.......nothing. Which incident seems more imortant?? Mike |

Lets see here: We have these money suckers: Cash for Clunkers TARP Funds Health care reform. Cap and Trade I don't know where BO is getting all of this money from. Instead of drinking a beer Obama should be learning how to balance a budget. |

After all that they agree to disagree. Thank goodness we have fixed the economy, health care and immigration so they had time to deal with this crisis. What a load of crap. The libs all complained Bush could not speak, but he never had to appologize for what he said.

why doesnt anyone complain about the 10 Billion a month going into Iraq and Afganistan? a couple billion for the cash for clunkers is a damn good idea...this shows me, thats a program to spur the stalled economy and maybe put some fellow Americano's back to work with the incentive of fuel efficiency...Luch, what do you think, I always ask you because you have no tie's to this country and i see it as an unbiased opinion

I think the unjust action was accusing the officer of racism before knowing the facts. Inexcusable. At that moment and time, the police officer was outed on a world wide stage. I couldn't imagine what a invasion of privacy like that would be. He had his anonymity taken from him and he did not ask for that, unlike most celebrity/political whores.
My most collaborated accounts, the professor was behaving belligerently. His actions caused his arrest. The officer was following procedure and is/was a trainer for racial sensitivity. In the end, we have 2 prominent black leaders make mistakes and accuse a white officer of racism. NEITHER ONE APOLOGIZED! The officer then was a prop in a photo-op and received two dollars worth of beer. Wow! Racism will not end. Too much power and money in the business of racism. PS. Biden was not scheduled to attend. He was added at the last minute so it didn't seem like two black guys against one white guy. They had it right the first time: 1-1/2 black guys and 1-1/2 white guys. I *************** hate politics. |

As soon as someone appologies for a couple of towers we are missing I think we could consider it. |

One thing is to retaliate in self defense, another very different is to invade 2 countries for over 7 years? Dont you realize you cant extermine muslims and that you are just making it all worse?
what is it you seek over there? revenge maybe? What does your constitution or your bible say about this kind of killing? Do you ever consider you might be a bit offset on this matter? dont you think it all went off scale? What happened on September 11 was a shame indeed... but you cant condenm 2 nations for the acts of a few, how much blood needs to be spilled until you get over it, how can you be any proud of what's being done over there? It's been 8 years since, you wont win this war. Support your troops, get them home soon. |

I dont have all the answers to your guestions. But I do for some, the old testiment says an eye for an eye. The new testiment is a little more forgiving, but Jesus did flip the tables at the temple when he saw injustice. The constitution says nothing about healthcare but it does give the authority and mandate to protect our borders and citizens. At the time the planes went into the towers I was near the end of a 20 year career as a emergency paramedic. Many responders that I think of as brothers gave their lives that day with the many innocent that had theres taken. A different building and it could have been me or my friends and family. Off scale or off target can certainly be argued, I would hate to have to make such decisions. What is enough? What is to much? I have vivid recolletions of the second plane hitting live on national TV, and the days after of silent skies as all air traffic was grounded. I was glued to the coverage of the rescues and the stories of firefighters buried alive communicating on their radios with no hope of rescue. Much of this nation is starting to forget. I will not. I know that being a target does not leave a good impression. It remains to be seen how our current apologetic Presidents policies will affect our security in the future. Was this revenge, I dont think any act can erase the loss, and two wrongs do not make anything right. I do know the US has the power to level any of the countries involve and showed the restraint not to. What is the proper response to something like this? Should we have flown planes into someone elses buildings just to make it fair? The whole thing just sucks and never should happen. I have nothing against Muslims, I have a thing against cold blooded civilian targeting killers,no matter what their background might be. I am funny that way. Sorry. All things considered, I would rather be boating and not have to think about this garbage. I have never killed anybody. If only everyone could say that.
