Hi, I was wondering if the T fitting on my boat is for connecting a hose to run the boat off the lake.

Most likely. Kind of looks like it's been run in salt water which would reaffirm the flush fitting requirement.

That is a swivel 3/4" GHT thread adapter on the plugged side of the tee. It was set up for running or flushing the engine out of the water. However, for better flow, I would have installed the tee so the supply of water is directed towards the engine and not the strainer and supply.

@Waternut the boat was only in fresh water.

@8122pbrainard I agree with you, the T should be the other way around. I was thinking about adding a brass valve for easy flush and service.

The valve is not needed. Many here have used Tim's set up without valving. The RWP will suck enough. When the engine isn't running, the water will go out the through hull pick up. One danger of the valve is forgetting to open it when you put the boat in the lake!!
