New owner, New member

Hey, first post here. I always find the best info in these designated forums and as a new owner of alate 70s 25' Fish Nautique i found this forum on every search i made for info.so figured id post up.

SO i have a list of things i'm curious about.

1-My rudder seems tiny and inadequate for the job its supposed to do. (haven't dropped her in the water yet)
IF anyone has any info and some dimensions or pictures of what should be under this 25' Fish that would be wonderful so i can make a fresh one up.


2- The Wheel, whats the proper size and pitch for these boats? 351W reverse rotation. 280Hp I dont even know what gear it has, i think its a borg warner but dont know yet.

3-can i find OE fish nautique decals anywhere online for the sides?

4. where do you guys get your parts like motor mounts, steering components, drive components, shaft, and anything else that would be unique to these boats? is this stuff Kellogg would have? or am i at the mercy of dealers?

Also, you may be planning this already, but if you are going to trailer that boat often, I suggest getting/building a prop guard for the trailer.

Some guys put rollers on the prop guard so that it lifts over a high spot. Might be a better solution than a removable rudder.

Before you get too tied up in building a prop guard,I'd be more concerned about the frame rust at the bunk mount. No prop guard made will save you if the frame breaks there
