Had some extra time with all crap going on lately to get my console and wiring cleaned up. Recored the console and flush mounted electronics. I got the wiring as neat as I had enough patience for. I have a DUI distributor that I want to swap out with the Mallory I have now. The DUI gets straight 12v no resistor correct? Will my current 8mm wires from skidim work with the DUI.

The Fish is looking great. Nice work.

Yes, the DUI takes a full 12V (no resistor or ballast). My own preference is a 10 or 12 gauge wire. 10 gauge might be a bit of overkill, but "go big or go home". If your spark plug wires are designed for a High Energy Ignition (HEI) then they will likely fit, If not, you will need new wires to fit the HEI "male" terminal coming out of the distributor cap. I prefer to make my own spark plug wires so that I can get the lengths where I want them. Making wires is not difficult and there are several nice plug wire kits out there with everything you need.

Cole,
Very nice work on the wiring job. It sure doesn't look like anything that came out of the factory.

When you copy the code from imgbb use the BB Full code then just paste the copied link direct into the narrative, no need to use the photo icons in the header.
