This is apparently a common issue for these mid-90's teleflex hour meters- this photo is not my boat but looks nearly identical to the one i have. Has anyone been able to disassemble these to clean? before i take apart my dash, i figured i would ask if anyone has tried to do this.

At least the housing didn't crack like mine... the meter fell inside the dash somewhere at the moment. I've been trying to figure out if I can swap the original meter into a new housing somehow or if I just put a new meter in and note the original hours somewhere...
