We had power for 3 hours and lost it. just got it back. thanks for all the ccf memebers thinking about us.
Doc and Karen thanks for the offer, but we will ride it out just like I know you would.. We live in a 135 year old off the ground cypress house. So if it made it that long through all those storms then why leave. we just dont need no twisters... thanks again Doc for the invite. will keep you informed as long as I have power. Got a few pics i will try to get up later when I get done with all the clean up around hear. |

Looks like Ike is going to miss you guys. I'm happy for all you LA people that had deal with that Gustav. Latest forecast is Ike will come in south of us...we're still holding our breath and waiting to see the models tomorrow before making any decisions concerning evacuation...

On the news here they said Ike went down to a Cat 1 storm, but as it passes over the sea, it could pick up some force...
Wish all you guys in it's path good luck! Keep us informed... |

- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle... |

still looks south of us, but the forecast is creeping north...not going anywhere yet. We're between Galveston and Houston (about 20 miles inland and 6 miles east of Galv bay). If there are forced evacs here, we're in the third tier.
