Every story I can find on the accident is extremely vague. 2 semis, 1 2006 Dodge pickup truck. Passenger was also killed. Semi drivers OK.

We have had that trust set up especially for Tyson and Landon's needs. It may be possible to open an account that would be specifically for the rebuild of the boat. Then we would have to locate people who can do the rebuild. Oh, Zach would love that!!!

Donna, it looks like you had a wonderful son to be thankful for and proud of. I cannot imagine any pain could be greater than that of losing one's child. My sympathies and prayers for you and your family.

Sorry to hear about this CCfan member Zach's untimely death. I did not know him, but just reading the thread where all these great people on this site helped him with their advice for his boat, has touched my heart. To his family, I pray that God will give you comfort and peace through this time of sadness. To the members of this site, thanks for being such a caring group. To help with advising people, to praying and helping people in need. My heart is deeply touched.   May God Bless this family and this CCFan group of people.

Jeff I am not sure what is needed at this time to complete the project. Just trying to understand all that has happened. The boat is completely stripped. Thank you for continuing to pray for our family.

As you guys are aware, my son, Zach passed away on May 7th of this year. Our family has made the decision we are unable to complete the project of rebuilding the boat. Much thought and consideration has been put into this decision. We are going to list the boat for sale. The boat is as shown in the pictures Zach put on this site. I want to stay within the guidelines of listing the boat on this site. There is a lien on the boat with a local bank and the payments are current. Any suggestions in listing the boat is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Donna

Hi Donna,
first, My condolances on your loss.... There really are no words to express sorrow for the pain and sorrow you've dealt with over the past few months.   There is a section on this site where boats can be listed for sale, that might be the best place to start.   Since there is a lien on the boat, that will have to go through the estate, if it hasn't already.   If you haven't dealt with the lien holder, it is highly likely that you can present the boat as a "complete project", and settle the loan balance for a small percentage of what is owed.... If the bank is unwilling to work with you on the balance, it might be financially best to just let it go back to the bank.    If you're not a co-signer on the loan, this won't impact you at all except for the sentimental portions.     I would venture that the boat is worth 1000-2000 depending on how far into the repair Zach was prior to his passing, and overall condition of the major components of the boats.   Something to think about is that the major structure of the boat has been removed, so structurally it may take some work to get it in a condition that would be safe to move it down the road.
There are several guys on this site that would be capable of taking on a project of this magnitude, so in honor of Zach's memory, I'd love to see it be sold here.

Blessings on your journey
Kris

Not sure how I missed this thread or his original rebuild thread. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I pray everything works itself out regarding the boat. If I could take it on, I'd buy the boat and rebuild it in his memory. If anyone decides to do it and wants some help, I'd be glad to pitch in.
