If water got in the hub, by all means pull it & repack the bearings - the sooner the better. They will rust & then you're replacing them.

I have a cone style bearing packer ($10 item) & it works good to push new grease in.

So one of the caps is missing on my DHM dual axle hub and i am thinking i should just do a full on bearing buddy and grease job to know it's been done (purchased 95 SN since last fall). My question is I have watch YT trailer videos about this (were not boat trailers though) but I am confused do I need to pull the whole hub or just the packed bearing casings. Any links to step by step procedures for noobs?
