Guys...Thanks to Greg we sorted out a lot of demons on the 86 SN 2001. He noticed the transmission cooler had a broken weld on it. It may or may not make it through the rest of the summer, but I would rather go ahead and replace it now. So..question of the hour is what is the part number. I believe the transmission is the 1:1 ratio unit, but Im still a newbie and dont know for sure.

Thanks

Philip

Philip,
Don't worry about a part #. Go by the length and the size of the water inlets and outlets.

I'm gald to hear that Greg helped out. I never had any doubts!

Did you try to rebraze it?

That could be done; it does have a nice drain cock on it, but I think I'd replace it.

Philip, has anyone mentioned 'my correct craft parts.com' to you? That's Billy-the BoatDr. I called last night. You won't need a part # with him as long as you know the engine; and you do.

Howdy Karen!

This may be more work than just buying a new one?? To really clean up the joint, taking it apart would be the way to go. Even with an acid flux, you never know how well the joint gets cleaned for a proper job.

BTW, they are not hard brazed but rather soft soldered.
