Hello, I’m looking for help to find a starter for a 1965 Ford 260.
It’s n a CC Mustang. It has an actuator on the side the pushes in to engage the starter. Had this rebuilt once a couple of years ago for 260 bucks but didn’t last very long. Can’t seem to find the matching starter. Any help is appreciated. Ty |

Being an old Interceptor engine, I'd figure you have the big old Ford positive engagement starter like in the first picture
It's most likely got 9 teeth and a nose cone depth of 2 3/8 inches like in the second picture, but if you could verify the depth and number of teeth that would be good to get one that fits and works ![]() |
