Tim,

The clamp is just a spring loaded type, looks sort of like a clothes pin. Clamped on to the pushrod. You might also be able to use a small c clamp.

Looks like we'll finally drop mine in the water sunday for it's maiden voyage. Can't believe it's been ready for a month and there's just no free time to play with it.

Well the rain came and went and we finally made it to the river. Our test drive went flawlessly. I am blown away by the holeshot the boat has and we only had the 13x13 oj on today. Can't wait to get some more hours on it so we can start playing around with props and see what it's got for top end. So far the package we put together seems to be a winner. The boat jumps out of the water and climbs to 4000 very quickly, that was as hard as I pushed for today but it wants to run. The throttle response is awesome, can you tell I'm stoked.

Here's a few pics, to top it off the river was like glass and we basically had it to ourselves.

Wow does that look sweet! What a job you have done on the whole project. Musta been so cool to get her in the water. Really like the look of the white dash and silver windshield.

Thanks for the kind words, advice encouragement along the way guys. I wouldn't even have attempted this if not for this site. This was a very rewarding (and Ambitious) project for me and I was still nervous until we actually got under way yesterday.

All's left now is to get some hours on it, a little fiddling with carb and tuning, and some experimenting with props later on.

Pat, we'll see you saturday.

Jbear, we'll get down to see you some day.

MM, Gotta get some pics of our boats side by each. I'm thinking she'll be green by July? Have a good week all.

Looking good Alan,

I wouldn't go too long without some one minute long wot runs up to full speed to set those rings, proper break in is crucial and its always fun to see what she will do, just make sure she is up to temp first and after your 1 min at wot reduce to just under 3000 or so... repeat as necessary at least once a half hour for the first five - 10 hours.
