Hey all, I am going to start up my 318 engine on a boat i just got. It hasent been started in over a year. Before that it was running fine. Is there anyting i should do besides check oil, plugs etc...before i try to turn over? I will be doing on its trailer with a flushmaster kit and super renforced water hose.
Any advice will be well taken. Thanks all...Chris |

Make certain the carb is free of obstructions. We recently pulled the old snowplow truck out to give it a once over and found a nice bees nest as well as a mouse nest in the aircleaner. So if there exists any holes in the spark arrester you might have a similar problem. Also make certain the fuel is drained if you are uncertain of the length of time down or if stabilizer was not added.
